The study focuses on the engagement practices and challenges of parents on the performance tasks of learners. It employed a descriptive-correlational research design aimed at describing the characteristics of parents of schools within Midsayap Southwest district. Utilizing a researcher-made questionnaire, data were collected from them. Following data collection, statistical analysis was conducted using appropriate tools such as frequency count, percentage distribution, mean, weighted mean, standard deviation, z-test, Kruskal-Wallis test, and Spearman rho. Findings indicate that these parents are highly involved in supporting their children’s learning tasks, assignments, and assessments. However, they face significant challenges in their engagement practices. The analysis revealed no significant differences in parental engagement based on sex, age, tribe, educational attainment, or occupation. Notably, a significant relationship was found between the extent of parental engagement practices and the challenges they encounter, highlighting the complexity of parental involvement in education.
